Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 6, 2026

ReceiptBoard ("we", "us") operates receiptboard.com as ReceiptBoard, a receipt maker with optional account and Pro features. This policy describes what data we handle. The free, no-account generator keeps receipt drafts in the current page; account features process the information you choose to save or send.

Your no-account receipt draft stays in your browser

Everything you type into the free, no-account receipt maker — names, payment details, descriptions and amounts — is processed in your browser. These receipt fields are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Printing or saving a PDF uses your browser's print dialog on your device.

Your no-account receipt draft is held in the current page. Closing or refreshing the page clears it, and you can erase the fields with the "Clear receipt" button. We have no server copy of this draft. If you choose to save or send a document through your account, the account and workspace data section below applies.

What we do collect

Account and workspace data. If you create an account or use saved, sending, tracking or recurring features, we process the account details, business settings, client and document information, delivery events and files needed to provide those features. Email-code sign-in processes your email address and verification information; if Google sign-in is enabled and you choose it, we receive the account information needed to sign you in. We do not use this information for advertising.

Billing data. Stripe processes Pro subscription payments. Stripe Connect processes customer payments directly into your own Stripe account; ReceiptBoard does not hold those funds. We receive identifiers, subscription status and transaction records needed to provide access, reconcile document payments and support billing; we do not receive your full card number.

Analytics. We keep a limited first-party product event log on Cloudflare D1 and may use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, product interactions, and general site performance. The first-party event log records the event name and source, with a generated identifier and timestamp. We do not send receipt or invoice contents, client details, line items, uploaded files or payment details to this event log.

We use the event log to measure whether product features work, diagnose errors and improve the service.

Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. No-account receipt fields stay in your browser; account documents are processed only to provide the features you choose.

Cookies & local storage

Account sign-in uses cookies to maintain your session. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may set analytics cookies to distinguish sessions and measure site usage when enabled. We do not use advertising cookies or show ads. The no-account receipt maker keeps draft fields in the current page rather than saving them in browser local storage.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. You can use available account controls or email contact@receiptboard.com to make a request.

Children

ReceiptBoard is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our data practices materially change and show a new effective date at the top.
